Erich Fromm: carácter, temperamento y personalidad

Resumen:

El artículo hace referencia a la evolución que se da en Fromm desde sus primeros libros entre los años 1921 y 1934, hasta un Fromm más maduro a partir de 1934, particularmente en su libro Miedo a la Libertad de 1966, construyendo a lo largo de su vida una Antropología Humanista o en su defecto un Psicoanálisis Humanista cuya finalidad última es el logro de la realización de la persona en su mundo, con el amplio despliegue y desarrollo de todas sus potencialidades y disponibilidades. Es de rescatar que de primera entrada se evidencia que están presentes en él, los principios del Psicoanálisis de Sigmund Freud y del Materialismo Dialéctico de Carlos Marx; la diferencia de enfoque la notamos según el énfasis puesto a la posición dada a cada uno de estos autores al profundizar en el interés que pongan en la persona y sus problemas más específicos en el contexto en que estos se den.

Abstract:

This article refers to Fromm’s evolution since his first books were written between the year 1920 and 1934 to Fromm’s maturity which started in the year 1934, particularly shown in his book Fear of Freedom (1966). This author stated what is known as the Humanistic Anthropology or, by default, a Humanistic Psychoanalysis –which pursues the achievement of the individual’s fulfillment. This fulfillment includes the evolvement and development of all his/her potentialities and abilities. It is worth mentioning first that Sigmund Freud’s Principles of Psychoanalysis and Karl Mark’s Dialectical Materialism are present in his Fromm’s work. The main difference resides in the approach given to each of these author’s interest in the Human Being and in his/her specific problems and the context in which these occur.
