Injerencia de Estados Unidos en Latinoamérica

Resumen:
El propósito del presente ensayo es hacer un breve repaso y análisis de la política exterior estadounidense hacia América Latina y el Caribe, desde el siglo XIX hasta principios del siglo XXI, en el marco de la imposición de sus intereses hegemónicos y geoestratégicos. No cabe duda que entender el origen y motivación para ciertas políticas impuestas por Estados Unidos sobre los países de América Latina y el Caribe, nos va a permitir entender mejor el porqué del estado actual de las cosas, así como nos permitirá emitir juicios más acertados en cuanto a situaciones que vivimos en el presente, y llegar, incluso, a influir en nuestras decisiones futuras.

Abstract:
The purpose of this essay is to make a brief review and analysis of the North American foreign policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean, since the XIX century and until the early XXI century, in the context of imposing their hegemonic and geostrategic interests. There is no doubt that understanding the origin and motives behind certain policies imposed by the United States over the Latin American and Caribbean countries, will allow us to better understand the reasons for the current state of things, and will, also, allow us to form more accurate judgments regarding present day situations, and even influence our future decisions.
